Atomic Habits by James Clear

During the first week of my 90 day life change I was mindfully watching specific videos on YouTube and one popped up that resonated with me. This book was mentioned and I decided to order it and add it to my free read list (outside of the book bingo TBR) for the month. I am so thankful that I read this! Perfect timing! Not only did I mentally devour this book, it was so easily understandable that I enjoyed every minute of it.

Our failures in performance are largely attributable to a lack of self-awareness.
— James Clear

I saw a parallel of what I’m doing in this season of my life and I was able to obtain incredible sense of direction and guidance from this book. If you struggle with accomplishing goals or even want to develop good habits, I recommend reading this. I was apart of an internship program in 2015-2016 and I really do believe that if I would have been able to process and accomplish more in my life if this book was on our reading list. This book has been added to my ‘Essential reads’ book shelf.

A lot of the concepts that I was reading about were things that I have already took initiative in tackling. I will dive into how this has impacted my approach to my lifestyle change so stay tuned!
