Note to Self: Expect the Unexpected

I’ve applied to many jobs. I researched best ways to find work, created and revised my LinkedIn, created a new Indeed profile, revamped my resume and cover letter, and even started to log every job I had applied to through Notion.

I applied to TQL on the 21st of July. I heard back from a recruiter on Monday the 25th and scheduled a phone interview that day. I was asked to do a second interview the next day that would be a video call. It went pretty good and she wanted to schedule a third interview for the 28th with a hiring manager.

I worked 3:15PM to 11:45PM for Homewood Suites on Sunday, July 24th. I had only a few hours sleep in order to be ready to drive to Santa Barbara to fly out to TQL’s Arizona location. I am doing a shadow with a veteran and trainee in the position that I will be offered. I was offered the job on Friday, but I haven’t received the final go just yet.

I shadowed for only about an hour or so. It was awesome! I am so pumped for this new opportunity. I could never live in AZ though because I hate heat. I had a few rough moments during the day but it went great. I should NOT have worn the shoes I did, but I wanted to make a good impression.

I am so thankful for the donations thus far. I feel like people are supporting this and I feel so overwhelmed. I received the official email offering me the job! I can’t believe I am going to Cincinnnati, OH!!! How the hell am I going to pull this off???
