Circe by Madeline Miller

Who doesn’t like a good fiction book about Greek Mythology? This book was on my radar a few years back when I had a Book of the Month subscription. I decided to read it this year and I was incredibly disappointed. There were some great stories sprinkled in this book about the life of Circe. It starts with her family dynamic, then goes into her exile. The character development was a bit dry for me. There was also a lot of fluff in certain areas. If I have to force myself to finish a book then that’s an issue.

I won’t give spoilers and I will say that I would recommend this book. Just because I had a difficult time staying engaged doesn’t mean you will.
